A BIRTHDAY GIRL AT MOULIN ROUGE

SHOPPING ALL DAY & MOULIN ROUGE ALL NIGHT, what a perfect combination! That’s what Edo organised for my 24th birthday. I got a pair of glasses, a Valentino vintage dress, a lovely bonnet with a fur ponpon and the book “The world according to Karl”, my new Bible.
So, after an intense shopping afternoon we got all well dressed and we went to Montmartre to see a beautiful spectacle at the Moulin Rouge. Acrobats, ventriloques, boas, the most beautiful dancers ever, clowns, poneys, cancan and a lot of champagne of course! I enjoyed it madly :)

SHOPPING TOUT LE JOUR ET MOULIN ROUGE TOUTE LA NUIT, quelle parfaite combinaison! C’est ce que Edo a organisé pour mon 24ème anniversaire. J’ai reçu un paire de lunettes, un robe vintage de Valentino, une super sympa bonnette avec ponpon et le livre “Le monde selon Karl”, mon nouvelle Bible. 
Donc, après cet intense après midi de shopping, on s’est bien habillé et on est parti pour Montmartre, pour un incroyable spectacle chez le Moulin Rouge. Acrobates, ventriloques, boas, les plus belles danseuses du monde, clowns, poneys, cancan et beaucoup de champagne évidemment! Je me suis amusée à la folie :)

SHOPPING ALL DAY & MOULIN ROUGE ALL NIGHT, che perfetta combinazione! Si tratta di quello che Edo ha organizzato per il mio 24esimo compleanno. Ho ricevuto un paio di occhiali, un vestito vintage di Valentino, un’adorabile cuffia con ponpon e il libro “Il mondo secondo Karl”, la mia nuova Bibbia. 
Dopo un intenso pomeriggio di shopping, ci siamo vestiti di tutto punto e ci siamo diretti a Montmartre per un meraviglioso spettacolo al Moulin Rouge. Acrobati, ventriloqui, boa, le più belle ballerine del mondo, clowns, pony, il cancan e ovviamente champagne a fiumi!

THE PRESENTATION

Hello  folks! Since Christmas is coming (and also my birthday!), I made a PowerPoint presentation to show you something to add to your desires’ list :) I hope you like it! 

Coucou tout le monde! Vu que Noel est proche (et aussi mon anniversaire!), j’ai crée une présentation PowerPoint pour vous montrer quelque chose à rajouter à la liste des désirs :) J’espère vous allez l’aimer! 

Ciao a tutti! Visto che il Natale è vicino (ed anche il mio compleanno!), ho creato una presentazione PowerPoint per mostrarvi qualcosina da aggiungere alla lista dei desideri… :) Spero vi piaccia e possa esservi utile!!! 

THE AMAZING CITY OF REIMS

CULTURE AND CHAMPAGNE; this is what the city of Reims is all about. Edo and I decided to visit it yesterday and we spent such a great day! 
We left Paris around 11 am and in an hour and a half we were there. After a little tour to look for somewhere to eat, we discovered the most strange restaurant ever. It is called “Café du Palais” and it was founded in 1930; it was fuuuuull of the most particular things, like statues with vintage hats, old clocks, enormous chandeliers, Japanese sculptures and also one of the three Wise Men! And, icing on the cake, a noisy but highly entertaining group of Dutch Hell’s Angels, a famous club of Harley fans that we befriended.
After lunch, we visited Reims’ Cathedral, which reminds me of Notre-Dame, with its gothic style and majesty. 
Unfortunately it started to rain (strange uh?), and we didn’t have the chance to make many pics around the city. So we left for visiting the Veuve Clicquot cellars.
We discovered so many things I didn’t know! Like, the cellars were chalk caves before and they were used for the champagne since the temperature never rises above 10°. After 40 years of service for the Maison Clicquot, an employee has the right to give his name for a “room” of the cave. The rosé champagne as we know it nowadays was invented by Madame Clicquot herself. In fact, while now it is obtained by a mix of white and red raisins, before it was just coloured in pink with artificial colorants or liquors and the taste was exactly like the normal one. Plus, at the beginning of its production, only women could drink the rosé; men could only do it the night before marriage. It was so interesting! 
After the visit we had “la dégustation” and the champagne was even better than I remembered it :). Of course, we made some shopping at the boutique. A freeze-bag called “The Traveller” which holds a bottle and two flûtes. Like a sir and a lady!

PALAIS ROYAL

SOME FASHION HISTORY TODAY. Palais Royal was built by Cardinal Richelieu in the 17th century. When he passed away, it became property of the Royal Family first and of the Orlean’s Dukes later. After a “decadent” period, while they wasted a lot of moneys in pleasures and parties, the Orlean's Dukes decided to rebuilt a part of the palace; they made a beautiful garden surrounded by galleries (which you can see in the pictures), renting the spaces along them in order to make money. It was here that the very first shops with actual windows appeared. It was a luxury area, which soon became a place for people to socialise outside the court. Here, the first cafés were born and, after the French revolution, also the first restaurants. The oldest restaurant is the Grand Vefour, which is still open to this day (even if I think a risotto is around 80 €). I studied it as school last year and I really love to have the chance to actually see it for real! I leave you with my outfit :) Enjoy! 

UN PEU D’HISTOIRE DE LA MODE AUJOURD’HUI. Palais Royal a était construit par le Cardinal Richlieu pendant le 17ème siècle . Quand il mourut, le palais devint propriété des Ducs d’Orleans. Après une période de “décadence”, où ils gaspillèrent une somme importante d’argent en plaisirs et fêtes, ils déciderent de reconstruire un partie de palais. Il fut transformé en un magnifique jardin avec des galléries qui l’entouraient (que vous pouvez voir dans le photos), afin de louer les espaces pour gagner de l’argent. C’est ici que les magasin avec les vitrines apparaissent pour la première fois. C’était un endroit de luxe, qui bientôt devint un espace pour l’aristocratie où se rencontrer en dehors de la court. 
Ici, les premiers cafés apparaissent et, après la revolution, aussi les restaurants. Le restaurant le plus ancien est le Grand Vefour, où on peu encore déjeuner aujourd’hui (meme si un risotto coûte aux alentours de 80 €). J’ai étudié ce palais à l’école l’année dernière, j’adore pouvoir le voir en vrai! Je vous lasse avec ma mise :) Amusez vous!

UN PO’ DI STORIA DELLA MODA OGGI. Il Palais Royal fu costruito per volere del Cardinal Richelieu nel XVII secolo. Quando morì, il palazzo diventò proprietà dei duchi d’Orleans. Dopo un periodo di “decadenza”, in cui i duchi sprecarono gran parte del loro patrimonio in feste e “piaceri”, essi decisero di ricostruire una parte del palazzo per trasformarlo in un magnifico giardino con delle gallerie attorno, al fine di affittare questi spazi per guadagnare dei soldi. 
È proprio qui che nacquero i primi negozi con vetrine. Era un’area lussuosa, che presto divenne uno spazio in cui l’aristocrazia si incontrava al di fuori della corte. 

Qui, apparirono i primi café e, dopo la rivoluzione francese, anche i primi ristoranti. Il primo fu il Grand Vefour, dove potete ancora andare oggigiorno (ma un risotto costa intorno agli 80 €!). Ho studiato la storia di questo palazzo a scuola e adoro poterlo vedere dal vivo! Vi lascio con il look che ho scelto :). Enjoy! 

FROM PARIS, WITH LOVE

ALMOST ONE YEAR AGO, I was just arrived in Paris and I was really excited! This city gave me the desire to share a piece of my life, so, I created Bonton-aholic. I am very happy about this hobby, I really feel it’s something important for me and I’m quite proud of the result! :)

I wanted to show you guys a couple of pictures I shoot during my first days in this amazing corner of the world, which I never published. I hope you will enjoy them!

IL Y A PRESQUE EXACTEMENT UN AN, j’état juste arrivée à Paris et j’étais enthousiaste! Cette ville m’a donnée l’envie de partager un pièce de ma vie, donc, j’ai crée Bonton-aholic. Je suis trop heureuse de cet hobby, je ressens qu’il est quelque chose de vraiment important pour moi, et je suis plutôt fière du résultat! :)

Je voulais vous montrer quelques photos que j’ai fait pendant mes premièrs jours dans cet merveilleux angle du monde et que je n’avais jamais publiées. J'espère vous allez les aimer! 

CIRCA UN ANNO FA, ero una novellina a Parigi, super eccitata. Questa città mi ha dato la voglia di condividere un pezzetto della mia vita, così, ho creato Bonton-aholic. Sono proprio contenta di questo mio hobby, lo sento essere qualcosa di davvero importante per me, e devo ammettere che sono piuttosto fiera del risultato! :) 

Volevo mostrarvi qualche foto dei miei primi giorni in questo bellissimo angolo di mondo e che non avevo mai pubblicato. Spero vi piacciano!

HEELS, CHANEL AND A MINK FUR

TODAY I WAS FEELING WHITE. Actually I had planned to wear a red coat with my colbacco, but it was a bit Christmas-ish and here the weather is still quite warm. Sooo, I took my embellished Zara skirt from last summer, and I combined it with the vintage fur (by mummy) I had at the Kenzo show, the Chanel bag and an Intimissimi turtleneck t-shirt that I really never use. But the result was quite good, isn’t it? 

I think that the Elisabetta Franchi ankle boots are the icing on the cake; without them, the look couldn’t have been the same. :)

AUJOURD’HUI JE ME SENS BLANCHE. En réalité, j’avais planifié de mettre un manteau rouge avec mon colbacco, mais il faisait un peu trop “Noël style” et ici le temps est encore plutôt chaud. Donc, j’ai pris ma jupe brodée Zara de l’été dernière et je l’ai combinée avec la fourrure vintage (de ma mère) que j’avais au défilé de Kenzo, le sac Chanel et une t-shirt à col roulé Intimissimi que je ne mette vraiment jamais. Mais le résultat est bon, n’est ce pas? 

Je trouve que les bottines Elisabetta Franchi sont la cerise sur le gâteau; sans d’elles, le look ne serait pas été pareil. 

OGGI MI SENTO BIANCA. A dire il vero, avevo programmato di indossare un cappotto rosso con il mio adorato colbacco, ma la mise era un po’ troppo natalizia e qui fa ancora abbastanza “caldo”. Quindi, ho pescato dall’armadio la mia gonna ricamata di Zara e l’ho combinata con la pelliccetta vintage della mamma che avevo allo show di Kenzo, la Chanel e un dolcevita Intimissimi che non metto da secoli. Ma il risultato è buono, no?

Penso che gli stivaletti Elisabetta Franchi siano stati proprio la ciliegina sulla torta; senza di loro il look non sarebbe stato lo stesso. :)

50 SHADES OF BROWN

HELLO VOLKS! These are the pictures we took yesterday. I wanted to show you my new poncho by Massimo Dutti; do you like it? I combined it with these BCBG leggings I wore in this post of last year. I love brown colors, French people use so much black... But, I have to admit that I’m getting influenced by them!

During our usual Parisian walk, we discovered this lovely narrow street in Faubourg Saint Honoré. We felt like being back in Saint Tropez, it was so different from the rest of the city, everything was little, clean and white, with plants and flowers here and there :) So we stopped for our shooting and to eat something at the brasserie. 

BONJOUR TOUT LE MONDE! Voilà le photos qu’on a prises hier. Je voulais vous montrer mon nouveau poncho Massimo Dutti; ça vous plait? Je l’ai combiné avec les leggings BCBG que j’avais dans ce post de l’année dernière. J’aime les couleurs marrons, je trouve que les français s'habillent trop en noir... Mais, je dois admettre que je suis en train d'être beaucoup influencée par eux!

Pendant notre habituelle promenade parisienne, on a découvert cette rue super mignonne dans Faubourg Saint Honorait. Ca semblait d'être encore à Saint Tropez, c'était tout petit, propre et blanc, avec des plants et des fleurs :) Donc on c’est arrêté là pour faire notre shooting et manger quelque chose à la brasserie. 

BUONGIORNO MONDO! Queste sono le foto scattate ieri. Volevo proprio mostrarvi il mio nuovo poncho di Massimo Dutti; vi piace? L’ho combinato con i leggings BCBG che avevo in questo post dell’anno scorso. Io amo le sfumature di beige e marrone, trovo che i francesi usino troppo il nero... Anche se devo ammettere che stanno cominciando ad influenzare anche me!

Durante la nostra solita passeggiata parigina, abbiamo scoperto questa vietta super carina in Faubourg Saint Honoré. Sembrava quasi di essere tornati a Saint Tropez, era tutto piccolo, pulito e bianco, con piante e fiori qua e là :) Quindi, ci siamo fermati per il nostro shooting e per mangiare un boccone alla brasserie.
